An ongoing control programme includes active weeding (George and White, 2003 in Varnham, 2006). Two biological control agents were introduced in 1997 (Pickup, 1999 in Varnham, 2006).
The Management Plan recommends that animals aiding seed dispersal also be controlled as part of the campaign against Prosopis (Pickup, 1999 in Varnham, 2006).
