    控制河蜆(Corbicula fluminea)族群的方法很多。當入水口被河蜆塞住時,一般都是使用溫度調節方法,即將管道的水加熱到溫度超過攝氏 37度。但這種方法不可能用在大多數的現有水系。使用隔板和陷阱等機械方法,可以有效地消除較大的蛤。可使用低濃度的氯或溴等化學藥劑來殺死幼蛤,有時也可以殺死成蛤。這種方法非常有效,但由於對這些化學藥劑的劑量限制越來越多,設施管理人已經不再用這個方法。一些州已經立法禁止引進河蜆到他們的水域。 English

Copp, based on VisualBasic code in the original Weed Risk Assessment (WRA) tool kit of P.C. Pheloung, P.A. Williams & S.R. Halloy (1999).
