Location Specific Management InformationAustral Islands The decree No. 65 CM of January 23, 2006 includes a list of 35 invasive plants declared "species that threaten biodiversity", one of which is Tecoma stans. These plants are subject to a ban on new imports, propagation and planting, and a prohibition on transfer from one island to another of any plant-wide, fragment of plant, cutting, fruit and grain. Their destruction is allowed. Cayman Brac Tecoma stans is routinely cut and burned in cattle pastures (Burton, 2003 in Varnham, 2006).
