Location Specific Management Information Anguilla (Lesser Antilles) An unsuccessful eradication project took place in 1999 (Hodge, K., pers comm. 2003 in Varnham, 2006). The 1997 Report on Conservation of Lesser Antillean iguanas recommends removing from the wild all common iguanas caught in the future, and to take measures to prevent the import of common iguanas and the release of those present into the wild (Gerber, 1997 in Varnham, 2006). Grand Cayman (Cayman Islands) Education efforts are part of the Blue Iguana Recovery Programme's awareness activities (National Trust for the Cayman Islands).
