    Pitcairn English
Ecosystem change: This species has rapidly spread into native plant communities, forming dense thickets (Bingelli 2000, in Varnham 2005). It occurs in forests in Pitcairn (Sherley 2000, in Varnham 2005). By the 1990s (following a change in land use which promoted the spread of this species) it covered a large area of Pitcairn (Bingelli 2000, in Varnham 2005). It is described as widespread and troublesome (Bingelli et al 1997, in Varnham 2005) .
