Synonyms: Common names: Organism type: herb A native of Chile, bittercress (Cardamine glacialis) grows at high altitudes close to the timber line. It needs to have its roots near water and is commonly found in marshes, bogs, water courses, lake and river shores. Introduced bitter-cress is reported to be growing on BeauchĂȘne Island, Falklands an Important Bird Area (IBA).
