    Organism type: amphibian
    Scinax x-signatus is a frog species originating from the forests of South America. It occurs in low altitude moist forests, moist savannas, wetlands, pastures, gardens and highly degraded habitats. Since its discovery in Guadeloupe, it has continued its expansion, threatening indigenous frogs through competition.
    Occurs in:
    riparian zones, urban areas, wetlands
    Geographical range
    Native range: Brazil, Guyana, French Guiana, Suriname, Venezuela.
    Known introduced range: Guadeloupe (Global Amphibian Assessment, 2007).
