    Organism type: amphibian
    Scinax ruber is an arboreal, nocturnal frog which is frequently observed in disturbed or human modified areas. It reproduces throughout the year, with a peak during the rainy season. Scinax ruber threaten indigenous amphibians in Martinique, where it was introduced.
    Occurs in:
    riparian zones, urban areas, wetlands
    Geographical range
    Native range: Bolivia; Brazil; Colombia; Ecuador; French Guiana; Guyana; Panama; Peru; Suriname; Trinidad and Tobago; Venezuela.
    Known introduced range: Martinique, Puerto Rico, Saint Lucia (Global Amphibian Assessment, 2007).
