    Synonyms:
    Common names: golden bell frog (English), green and golden bell frog (English), green and golden swamp frog (English), green frog (English), grenouille verte et dorée (French)
    Organism type: amphibian
    Originally from the south east of Australia, where it is threatened with extinction, Litoria aurea is carnivorous with a wide range of food sources. It can be a threat to other amphibians and reptiles where it is introduced.
    Occurs in:
    coastland, urban areas, wetlands
    Geographical range
    Native range: Native to the south east of Australia.
    Known introduced range: Litoria aurea has been introduced in New Zealand, Vanuatu and New Caledonia (Global Amphibian Assessment, 2007).
