It can be a threat to other amphibians and reptiles where it is introduced. Occurs in: coastland, urban areas, wetlands Geographical range Native range: Native to the south east of Australia. Known introduced range: Litoria aurea has been introduced in New Zealand, Vanuatu and New Caledonia (Global Amphibian Assessment, 2007).
