The date and location of Euglandina rosea introduction is unknown. Only estimates are available. It was absent in 1991, but widely established by 1994. Surveys were conducted in 1991, 1994 and 2000 (Coote, T., Field Report 2000/2001 unpub.). 此地點的管理資訊：
All three native snail species of the Partula genus on Huahine were extinct in the wild by 1997, but 2 species survive in captivity. The most recent survey was in 2000. 影響：
經濟 /民生: On Huahine the disappearance of the critically endangered Partula varia and Partula rosea (due to predation by E. rosea), had an economic and social effect on the local community. The shells were used for making lei (shell jewellery) and many of the women of the villages lost their livelihoods.
