    Frog culture (L. catesbeianus) is an expanding activity in several Latin American countries, mainly Brazil, Argentina, Ecuador and Uruguay (Mazzoni 2000a, Mazzoni et al. 2003, in Galli et al. 2006). There are a number of American bullfrog populations established in Ecuador (Santos-Barrera et al. 2009).
