    The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (MnDNR) Division of Fisheries has found curlyleaf pondweed in 540 lakes in Minnesota, located in 80 percent of the counties in the state. This number is based on routine surveys of 3,000 lakes in Minnesota and is probably an underestimate of the number of lakes with curlyleaf pondweed died back.
