    A survey of the terrestrial vertebrate fauna of Nanuyalevu (Turtle Island), Yasawa and Ba carried out in 2001, reported the status of F. catus as abundant.

    降低本地生物多樣性: A survey reports that the presence of a large number of feral cats is why the banded rail (Gallirallus philippensis) and other ground-nesting birds have been eradicated, or nearly so. Feral cats have also been reported as being the likely cause for the rather low density of ground skinks.
