Impacts: Predation: The King Gull (Larus hartlaubii) is listed as Least Concern in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species. It has a large range and is a breeding resident endemic to the Atlantic Ocean coastline of South Africa and Namibia. The species is threatened by a high rate of breeding failure, storms and floods that may destroy nests and the impacts of natural and introduced predators.
