    Species Notes for this Location:
Bellamya chinensis has been recorded from three locations in the Netherlands in 2009 and 2010, representing the first European records for this species. These are: 1) Eijsder Beemden in the very south of the Netherlands, representing part of the floodplains of the river Meuse; 2) the village of ‘s-Gravenzande in the west of the Netherlands and 3) the central part of the Netherlands in the village of Vinkeveen (Soes et al., 2011).

    B. chinensis appears to be well suited for the Dutch climate, and is thought likely that this species will become established. Impacts of this species in the Netherlands are unknown at present (Soes et al., 2011).
