    Species Notes for this Location:
    Gonipterus scutellatus was first discovered in Brazil in Eucalyptus viminalis and E. saligna trees in 1979. This first record was in the Curitiba region, and G. scutellatus has been spreading slowly over Brazil since then.
    Management Notes for this Location:
    The biocontrol agent Anaphes nitens is present in souther Brazil, where there are sporadic outbreaks of G. scutellatus.
