Management Notes for this Location: The Pacific rat (Rattus exulans) was eradicated from Burgess Island in the Mokohinau Islands by the Department of Conservation between 1990 and 1991, using brodifacoum (McFadden, 1992; 1994). Location Notes: Burgess Island (56 ha) is located in the Mokohinau Islands, about 100 km north-east of Auckland, New Zealand. The vegetation is primarily forested (J. Russell, pers. comm.).
