Rattus norvegicus is commonly known as Norway/ brown rat. Brown rats most probably arrived on vessels. They are present on all three islands, Grand Cayman, Little Cayman and Cayman Brac especially in populated areas (Burton, 2003 in Varnham, 2006). 此地點的管理資訊：

The Blue Iguana Recovery Programme carries out additional control to protect hatchling iguanas in the QE II Botanc Park on Grand Cayman (Burton, 2003 in Varnham, 2006).
