    Species Notes for this Location:

    Management Notes for this Location:
Ujjan & Shahzad (2007) tested 3 strains of the pathogenic fungus Metarhizium anisopliae var. acridum on M. hirsutus populations in the lab. Adults were shown to be infected within 2 days with 90 % mortality by the 8th day while 100 % of instar mortality was achieved by the 4th day. While the use of M. anisopliae shows promise, more studies are needed regarding its biology and application (Ujjan & Shahzad, 2007).
