    Species Notes for this Location:
    Osteopilus septentrionalis was first reported in 1987 in the Netherlands part of Saint Martin then reported in 1996 French side. It would have arrived with imports of plants from Florida and other islands in the Caribbean where the species has been introduced: Bahamas, Cayman Islands, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands (Breuil, 2002).

    Predation: Osteopilus septentrionalis consumes a wide variety of prey (snails, spiders, insects, amphibians, lizards). The species behaves like a hyper-predator and competes with native species (Breuil & Ibéné, 2004).
