Tytler at Ross Island in 1867.It is very common and abundant through out South Andaman in cultivations and in the neighborhood of homesteads, villages and town. It is a confirmed associate of man, following wherever he opens up new habitations. Omnivorous. Eats fruits, insects, kitchen scraps.
