    Mynas have been eradicated from the 27 ha Cousin Island in the Seychelles using a combination of techniques. Shooting with a silenced air rifle and .22 rifle was used to complete myna eradication (Millet et al. 2004). Four of the five birds that survived poisoning on Cousin Island were pre-fed and shot by an experienced shooter who was familiar with myna behaviour.
