From its source in the Mediterranean, M. galloprovincialis has colonised nine or ten localities including the west coast of Canada (McDonald and Koehn 1988, Heath et al. 1995, Wonham 1999 and Anderson et al. 2002, in Branch and Stephanni 2004) and possibly the east coast of Canada (Vario et al. 1988, in Branch and Stephanni 2004). Its occurrence in eastern Canada remains to be confirmed, as there remains some confusion with genetic variants of the "M. edulis complex". 影響：
