    Species Notes for this Location:
    M. galloprovincialis arrived there in about 1989, soon became the dominant mussel, but then collapsed. Although still present, it is no longer the dominant (B. Currie Pers. Comm., in Branch and Stephanni 2004). This suggests that central Namibia lies near the limits of its tolerance range.
