以下事項 4 聯繫 提供 資訊和建議 Plasmodium relictum:
1. Atkinson, Carter (Research Microbiologist, USGS-Biological Resources Discipline, Pacific Island Ecosystems Research Center) Dr. Atkinson's area of expertise includes the hematozoan parasites of birds, particularly species of Plasmodium and Haemoproteus, and their impacts on wild bird populations. Most recent work has involved studies of the epidemiology and pathogenicity of avian malaria and pox virus in Hawaiian forest birds.

2. Jarvi, Susan I. (Associate Professor Biology & Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chair, Biology, Director, Pre-Pharmacy, University of Hawaii Hilo) A main focus of my lab is to evaluate the impacts of introduced parasites on natural populations. We are using the Hawaiian honeycreeper disease model to study changes in virulence of Avipoxvirus and Plasmodium relictum due to co-infection with multiple genetic variants and how infection might be related to host genetic population structure.

3. Kilpatrick, A. Marm (Assistant Professor of EE Biology. University of California, Santa Cruz.) Dr. Kilpatrick has studied the impact of P. relictum on the survival and reproduction of Hawaiian birds and management strategies to facilitate the evolution of resistance in these birds to this parasite.

4. Lapointe, Dennis (Project Leader, USGS Pacific Island Ecosystems Research Center) Dr. Lapointe's research focus is on the relationship between feral pigs and larval habitat, the vectorial capacity of mosquitoes and avian malaria, climatic contraints to transmission, risk of West Nile Virus to Hawaiian avifauna and dispersal behaviour.
