    Rapana bezoar


    Rapana bezoar occurs off the southern provinces bordering the South China Sea (Cai and Huang, 1991) and is more widely distributed in the Western Pacific and Indian Ocean. R. bezoar is distinguished by a more scaly sculpture overall and a white aperture (ICES, 2004).
    Rapana rapiformis


    Rapana rapiformis occurs in the East and South China Seas. It has a lower spire and lighter shell than R. venosa (ICES, 2004).
