    Elodea nuttallii


    The invasive abilities of both Elodea canadensis and Elodea nuttallii associated with their abilities to regenerate and colonise by vegetative fragments are quite similar, with a small advantage for E. nuttallii (Barrat-Segretain, Elger, Sagnes et al, 2002).

    Elodea canadensis is a member of the same family Hydrocharitaceae, as the Canadian waterweed. In addition, they are morphologically similar (Cassandra, Eaton & Hardwick, 2006).
