    Ziziphus spp.


    The Ziziphus genus contains about 170 species, most of which are native to tropical and subtropical regions of Africa, Eurasia, Australia and the Americas. Similar species include Ziziphus jujube and Ziziphus spina-christi. (Grice, pers.comm. 2002)
